houm is an original, family project created by Dumin Studio, led by a married couple – Aleksandra and Michał Dumin.

“Family” is the word that best describes our brand.

Michał, immersed in the furniture industry and design for years, is responsible for construction, forms, and uncompromising quality. Aleksandra, using her many years of experience in e-commerce and the pet industry, connects the dots between the needs of pets and the satisfaction of their owners.

The artistic soul of the venture is our daughter, Pola, who is responsible for the illustrated characters that give the brand its friendly nature (while learning the realities of creative work: from pricing to meeting deadlines :).

The absolute boss of operations - our dog Frida - is the main model and full-time tester who personally checks and sleeps on every prototype.

It all started quite naturally. While designing interiors and furniture, we noticed that pets are rarely taken into account in such projects, and the market is dominated by the same old solutions. We quickly got hooked, because finding a piece of furniture for a pet that meets its needs while also blending in well with the home was next to impossible.

We opted for acoustic material. A home can be really loud – the daily noise of household members, outside sounds, renovations, or urban hustle and bustle are quite a challenge for a pet's sensitive senses. Our base construction material has excellent soundproofing properties and is lightweight, durable, safe, and, on top of that, simply very attractive.

It gives us the design freedom we were looking for.

A turning point in our history was the purchase of our own CNC machine at the beginning of 2026. This gave us full independence. We design ourselves, we test ourselves, we produce ourselves. By controlling every stage in our workshop, we can improve our molds on an ongoing basis, and order lead times are reduced to an absolute minimum.

We don't take shortcuts. We put all our experience to date, our hearts, and a lot of good energy into HOUM. And when we see your positive feedback and the happy faces of your pets – we feel that we are on the right track! :)
